i read somewhere that eating full fat cheeses is better in the long run because they fill you up faster (so you eat less, feel more full) and have better taste than the reduced fat kinds. i don't know if that holds true, but if it does, hallelujah! i'm ready to try some 8 cheese mac and cheese (throwdown w/bobby flay, anyone?) with the 2 boxes of macaroni left over from our variety pack of pastas from costco... it's been sitting around for a while since macaroni isn't really our favorite when it comes to making normal pastas.
what i can't understand is this: there are 8 apples (6 of them are fujis, my favorite) and 6 plums in my fridge. plus 2 peaches that are getting near the point of no return. yet, at 2:40am while studying i crave none of these healthier options, and all i want is something chocolatey... or something salty. so that means quaker mini rice cakes. ranch is so good! i guess i can be consoled in knowing that one serving is only 70 cal, but i think so far i've eaten about 3 servings already today. :|!
it might have been bad starting off w/cardio after coming off of a summer of peds cardio. mostly because... now i compare everything to cardiology. pulm, as i mentioned in my last post, pales in comparison already, and now in the throes of renal final i'm finding cardio a much more appealing subject. i've been told that renal is really easy once you understand the physiology, because you dont have to memorize anything, you can just figure things out logically. welllll that proved to be partially true last week during electrolyte and acid/base lectures. but now that all of the kidney failure diseases are thrown in and really only differ by how they stain this way and that... i am not really seeing all the logic in this. i'm seeing lots and lots of memorization. they lied to me... augggh!
