1) m2 year is pretty fun, not necessarily easier, but less class! or so it seems... with exams in the middle of the week. still, i don't seem to be able to take my exams early enough to get the days off i wish i had...
2) i am 97.5% sure i do not want to be a pulmonologist... for a couple of reasons:
- i worked in pediatric cardiology this summer so now i'm biased, but after cardio sequence i'm even more convinced: the lungs are basically just like large accessories to the heart
- negative pressures and stuff confuse me. don't bring me back to physics 1a...
- lung diseases are all sort of one and the same. it's either "i can't breathe in" or "i can't breathe out"... plus, they all seem to have all the same problems/symptoms/signs. hard to keep straight
- i used to be good at math but now it seems i have problems ... not good if you need to calculate stuff using equations you can't keep straight often. :|
3) all orange highlighters smell the same. there is this distinctive smell that comes only from the orange-colored ones. has anyone else noticed this yet?
4) after all these years, i see that my mother has hidden count chocula cereal away from me and my youth. now that i'm old enough to do my own grocery shopping, i recently did what was both satisfying for my appetite and financially savvy - a box of count chocula for $1 at kroger! apparently, i am in the minority of people who have never heard of/tried this cereal. i guess my mom was a healthy cereal and snacks kind of mom. but it's ok mom, i eat pretty healthy otherwise, and this cereal still carries most of my daily vitamins and minerals for a healthy breakfast.
5) even now at this hour, there are so many things i would rather do than study for the pulmonary exam. either my study skills are rapidly deteriorating (not a good sign...) or my disinterest in this subject is so large that i cannot contain it any further... either way, it's not good.
6) on a happier note - sunshine and warmth has not left the state of michigan yet! sunny days in the 70s and 80s still left to enjoy. at least here is something to be thankful about and enjoy.
